Thank you all for your patience. It does look like the only problem we had with 1.58.100 was this issue when loading from the previous alpha, but that has been fixed now. The new TLS changes to make for faster https, especially with Firefox, seem to be working well, and were what was missing in 1.58.000, but a couple of issues with MQTT client have also been addressed. See release notes for more details. 1.58.111 Landy beta is released, and we plan to make it a full release after the new year. Customers are welcome to try beta releases before being made a full release, and do bear in mind there is a feature now to only auto-install a release if it is more than a specified number of days old - thus allowing for unexpected issues like this to be resolved before you upgrade. There is always something, isn't there

We have found another issue, not so much with the beta itself, as it was working fine in our tests, but when upgrading between s/w versions with that beta. This is a bit if an edge case, but could mean a brick refusing to upgrade because it crashes. The problem was only present because of the issue of an alpha then the beta, so not something we would have been able to catch before, sadly. We're doing a few more tests and should have a new beta shortly. As this is likely to be a very rare issue and depend on the sequence of s/w updates, etc, we have not removed this beta, but the new one will supersede it and become a full release after the new year. I appreciate this is frustrating for all. Please bear with us. We are doing a few more tests based on this beta now as well to see if anything else like this is present. -- Adrian

Next beta

As advised, we hope to have a new beta very soon, probably today or tomorrow. I'll email again once it is released. We won't be making the beta in to a full release until after New Year as I know a lot of people, including A&A, have a change freeze. One of the things we have been keen to get in to this is a small change to the way TLS works for https on the control pages - as customers have reported, on some recent browsers (notably firefox) that is very slow. This change covers a new way to "resume" the TLS session as the browser loads the next page/image/etc. We have an alpha today, 1.58.010 Landy+, which includes this. To feel free to try this and let us know any issues. We have also managed to sort several small issues raised by those testing the current beta - as always, thank you all for your feedback. Beta release

We do have beta 1.58.000 Landy, however, we are expecting to release another beta in the next day or so. Basically, we have identified a couple things we would like to include in this release, and which are relatively simple to include. This includes the recently reported "slowness" in https when using Firefox, which is down to using a new/different way to re-use existing TLS sessions. As such we expect a new beta, 1.58.100 Landy, shortly, which will subsequently be made in to a release. Sorry for the delay. -- Adrian
